Dutch Invertuals – Dutch Design Week

At the request of Wendy Plomp, curator of Dutch Invertuals, Studio Nina van Bart was invited to create a new work for their exhibition based on the theme: The Circle. For their 10th anniversary, have brought together a selection of emerging and established designers to redesign one of the most iconic shapes in the universe: the circle. A symbol of unity, perfection, and infinity, offering their personal interpretations on its timeless form. For this exhibition, Studio Nina van Bart realised a rug inspired by the spherical flower Craspedia globosa. Its design reflects a motif of “round within a round within a round,” echoing the flower’s texture. The 3D rug was produced in collaboration with CS-rugs using the latest 3D tufting techniques. This design merges natural inspiration with technology.
